Hunt Art Studio focuses on teaching art so that our students learn to appreciate and understand the world of art.
As qualified and experienced art teachers we teach students the practical techniques and skills that are necessary to express themselves creatively.
We provide the resources and environment to young students that will encourage them to explore a variety of art processes and materials.
Christine Hunt is a practicing artist and art teacher, with a Bachelor’s degree in both Fine Arts and Art Education.
We welcome beginners and more experienced students to join us.
Our classes and workshops run throughout the year and the schedule can be viewed on this website.
We look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Christine Hunt B.F.A., B.Ed.
Miranda Penalba received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University. She further studied and received a second degree in Interior Design. Having worked on her own art, products and interior designs in Montreal and abroad, Miranda has developed a skilled aptitude for allowing her surroundings to perceptively influence her work. She believes that being able to immerse ourselves and do art, to be creative individuals, can be immensely fulfilling.
She believes that creativity lives in all of us and that if we recognize ourselves as artistic individuals, even as children; it has the power to propel us forward in so many positive ways.
“When you take an art class, it not only teaches you technique, but a vast array of life skills that in fact can be utilized daily. We learn to develop; our creativity, focus and concentration, analytical thinking, our curiosity, original thinking, our imagination, accountability, nonverbal communication, and an appreciation for the arts. To be able to recognize your own creative individuality and expression, truly builds confidence. Teaming that with technical skills can be an incredible realization.”
Miranda has been on our team as assistant manager and teacher for several years now. She previously volunteered her time working on art projects and theatrical designs with students at F.A.C.E., the well-known artistic school in Montreal. She was awarded an ArtistsInspire Grant in 2021, sharing her artistic skills and knowledge teaching workshops in schools.
